My mom who walks with difficulty had no problems going up a small flight of steps to access the ground floor of the cottage or down a few steps to the beach. There are also golf carts at a moment's notice to take you around the property. Beach: The beach loungers are very well spread so that different families are spaced out. The beach has powdery soft sand, is super long, pristine & is very well maintained. The service at the beach is great too. Initially the sea seems a little rough with small waves rolling on to the edge of the beach but my kids taught me the trick of walking past the waves into water (which is a slight dip) & then its pretty calm & shallow. I'm just a pool swimmer & I had a great time in the waters. Motorized & non motorized sports are great too, it's on first come first in basis. (In some reviews guests have complained about people from outside the resort walking on the beach, but St. Maarten beaches are public & we found the beach to be very uncrowded. Everyone is respectful.

The Poolside Grill The Poolside Grill, on the upper terrace overlooking the pool, serves light meals and beverages, which include the finest island salads and light lunches featuring fresh seafood and shellfish, as well as an abundance of grilled specialties. La Samanna Bar La Samanna Bar is located in the main building adjacent to the pool. Beach Bar Beverage and light meals service is available on the beach. Lobster BBQ on Monday. Activities For those who crave action, the choices are endless. Complimentary sailing, windsurfing, waterskiing and tennis are all on hand, while chartered cruises for sightseeing, diving and deep-sea fishing are easily arranged.
