San Juan Puerto Rico Spa
Planning a vacation with the wife and I and I'm trying to find a place where we can have both a good beach vacation with spa/resort for her + access to good poker for me. I have a bazillion Southwest Points so I'm trying to use those, which limits the options to the list below. Before I consult the almighty Google I thought I'd ask if any of you have a recommendation from this list (or advisement on where not to go): Cabo San Lucas, Mexico Puerto Vallarta, Mexico Cancun, Mexico Belize Montego Bay, Jamaica Punta Cana, Dominican Republic San Juan, Puerto Rico Liberia, Costa Rica Aruba These are places that Southwest flies directly to, so something near one of these cities would probably be ok too.

Escambrón Beach in San Juan. Beach Time is the Best Time Some of the most popular and picturesque beaches in Puerto Rico are located right in the city of San Juan. Three main beaches: Condado Beach, Escambrón, and Ocean Park Beach, offer everything from swimming and stand-up paddleboarding to jet-skiing, diving, and snorkeling. While Condado Beach and Ocean Park beach have more of a laid-back feel, El Escambrón – a Blue Flag beach – is renowned for its active pursuits. You can also visit the Mall of San Juan, a hub of high-end shopping with a mix of international brands, local designers, and upscale department stores such as Nordstrom and Saks Fifth Avenue.
And in Old San Juan, streets such as South Fortaleza (SoFo) and Calle San Sebastián are set aglow with neon and string lights after dark, as some of the best and most unique bars in the world open their doors to visitors from all over the globe. Hello all! We are going on our honeymoon July 2nd in San Juan, Puerto Rico. We already have some things planned out. We are staying at The Olive Boutique Hotel for half our trip and Da House Hotel for the other half. We're doing a food tour, taking a Catamaran to El Culebres, deep sea fishing, and then doing a shopping/spa day (my request), and that's about it for now. We REALLY want to do the El Yunque National Forest but I am so worried about Zika. All I can think about is how humid and wet it is. It has to be a breeding ground. How much did you enjoy the rainforest tour when you went? Is it worth the risk? I know by being in Puerto Rico we are putting ourselves at risk anyways. But the rainforest just seems like a whole other level of risky. ALSO, any other ideas for activities?? !

Rainforest El Yunque Tour We will enjoy natural wonders of the east side of the island. Here you enjoy a full adventure and local experience guided by a local. Expect a trilling trip full of nature and awesome natural waterslides in the rain forest called El Yunque. A very unique ecosystem as it is the only tropical rain forest in the US Forest System. Be prepared for a hike full of nature. Learn about the history, bamboos & 300 year old trees. Please bring water shoes, hiking shoes or shoes you don't mind getting wet or muddy (NO SANDALS), water, camera, snacks, and bathing suit. Remember, transportation not included.
This experience is a very authentic puertorican tour that offers unique and secret gems of the rainforest. We end the trip by having lunch at a local small family owned restaurant that serves authentic grandma style food.
