Two of the people with whom we were traveling were celebrating their birthdays and Bryant helped me by putting champagne in the rooms for our customer service we received at the hotel was outstanding. OUTSTANDING. We had slopeside views, with private balconies, and our room was a junior suite- so it has a king bed and then a divider with a couch and a TV on the other side. King bed was soooo comfy! My only complaint (if I had one) was that the kitchenette was not that user friendly... very little counter space. And there isn't a lot of storage in the rooms. But I think compared to other hotels I've stayed in, they provide everything you could want, and it was extremely comfy/well furnished. We were privileged to be there at the tail-end of six feet of new snow. Grab your skiis from the storage valet, walk out the front door, jump on the lifts 200 feet away and enjoy. Amenities abound, with pool/jacuzzi and one of the nicest fitness rooms we've seen. All new equipment and very few users. Now, some food for thought. The room (in our case, a junior suite) had everything we needed for a family of three, including a minimalist kitchen with all the necessaries. But we really had to squeeze in there, and it took a day or two to get used to the tight logistics. A full-fledged condo might be a better option. It is our favorite trip/experience of the year. The Elevation staff is the best. They accomodate your every need. The hotel is beautiful and comfortable, and the location cannot be steps from the lift. Also, the Elevation has a parking garage, so we've never had to dig out our car like people staying at other lodges did last week when we had 3 feet of snow. Once we arrive, we never move our vehicles. The bus runs every 15 minutes into town, and the hotel offers a private ride to town if you request it. We always book the "Grandest Christmas" package, which is an unbelievable value. We recommend it to everyone we know who is planning a ski vacation. So here goes. Not very happy right now with this Hayward heater. Started out as what seemed like a decent price for heater to extend season by making pool comfortable for wife and family. Bought our first one and put into use for approximately 2 and 1/2 years before solder joints broke and water leaked from inside housing. No apparent reason - did nothing wrong. Decided to get the same heater as the plumbing set-up was specific to this one. Purchased in April 2016 with intent of installing for summer 2016. Installed at end of June 2016 and used through mid September. Disconnected, drained and stored in garage for winter. Re-installed mid May 2017 and enjoyed 3 weeks of family enjoyment. Bypassed heater to backwash filter, and same issue with solder joint leaks when water put through heater again.
